Pyramid Comment

This journal takes an alternative view on current affairs and other subjects. The approach is likely to be contentious and is arguably speculative. Lung Cancer

The incidence of lung cancer is reported to have doubled over the last 30 years.

In 2002, more than 1.4 million cases were diagnosed. Up from 600,000 in 1975.

Fewer than 1 in 7 survive for more than 5 years and lung cancer is among the most lethal of all types of cancers.

Why do people still smoke? Only activities like skydiving without a parachute or deep sea diving without an oxygen tank can have worse odds: survival is absolutely non-existent.
