Pyramid Comment

This journal takes an alternative view on current affairs and other subjects. The approach is likely to be contentious and is arguably speculative. The content of any article is also a reminder of the status of those affairs at that date. All comments have been disabled. Any and all unsolicited or unauthorised links are absolutely disavowed.

Visible Proof Of MOT

Currently, MOT pass certifiates carry a removable label that is visible proof of MOT. On the reverse of the label is the detail of validity, printed by the testing station. The mechanism is in force that could compel car owners to prove the vehicle has a current MOT.

  • This is not proof of road worthiness as this only applies at the time of testing, but it is a start.

Only if it is a legal requirement to display it. Why is it NOT law? It would, of course, remove the justification to increase insurance premiums for those who pay it. Those that subsidise those who don't. The ones that are difficult to catch.
