Work Force Mood

It's been known for a long time that a happy work force creates an environment for a committed effort. It works well. Why then do some businesses seem to go out of their way to nail their employees to the wall for not doing enough? To meet demands that may at the outset be completely unrealistic. Even when the demands have been met, they can still attract criticism. For a job well done! Just to keep the sharks at bay and shareholders happy. Keep the work force unhappy. Depressed. Resentful. Incredibly short term thinking as perceived wearing mental blinkers. There has to be a balance struck between improvement and brilliance. The shine will wear off quickly if maintenance is neglected. Or ignored.
