Respect

The modern definition of respect is more in line with fear than admiration. To get 'respect' is to get control through fear. It's sinister that there is no move (by anyone) to correct this 'misunderstanding'. It conveniently falls into the thinking so desirable by government - fits the required mindset. Fear rules the day in just about every facet of lifestyle.
