Electric (Hybrid) Motoring

The description of the car being an electric car is deceptive. Or misrepresentation? The propulsion of the vehicle is through electricity generated by the battery. When the battery runs low, then a 'small' petrol engine takes over and will charge the battery. The General Motors concept. So, technically, the car is powered by electricity. The future of electric motoring There are a number of potential issues:
  • Nuclear power: the origin of the battery 'electricity'.
  • Taxation: startup will be low, but like diesel fuel, the carrot was attached to the cost stick that lengthened like any other growth.
  • Illusory low CO2 creation
