Cameron, David: Background

Irrespective of how hard we may try to hide our past it just won't go away and someone will always cause a problem. Usually it is siblings or parents. Sadly for 'call me Dave' Cameron, it is an in-law. You can chose your partner, but not their parents.

In this case, the publicity seems to be very fortunate for the rest of us. As an ordinary bloke... well, he does not have an 'ordinary' past. Sir Reginald Sheffield is father-in-law to David Cameron, would-be Prime Minister. Cameron's wife, Samantha, is the eldest daughter by the first marriage to Annabel Jones, now married to Viscount Astor. David Cameron is allegedly sensitive to his background being made evermore public. Rather tough, actually, when life is thrust into the public spotlight by choice. Who asked him to put himself forward as 'leader of the opposition'.

  • David Davis was always the more qualified candidate for that, but wrong background. Didn't really stand a chance. It is all too obvious (always is) that the bloodline will determine who rises to the 'top' in any Tory plot (as in story, of course - DA).

George Osborne should do well and is a real contender (as in a true and fair 'political' fight) for any future position. Nobody can ever 'get on' by ability especially without the right connections. Stakes may be incredibly high, but it will be a 'fair' fight. Looking over the trail of this Cameron family it just got increasingly tiresome. Born with a platinum spoon-in-the-mouth is simply insufferable. The far from 'ordinary' background paints a very poor picture for all the rest of us and does add credence to the suggestion that removing opportunity from the majority will enable an easier ride for the self-styled 'upper classes' minority. Kill off the grammar school route to self-betterment by ability and not birthright. The majority have to earn promotion in life, not simply be given it. Cameron's father-in-law (isn't there an uppercrust description of this mundane and terribly unexciting connection) is described as:

"a big bully multi-millionaire landlord", "a pompous, arrogant pig"

strong words, indeed, and all alleged comment. Wonderful stuff.

Noticed how well-fattened they have all become?

Zzzz...
