Sunday 'Slow' Drivers

Original posting, September 2006

Once upon a time (when I was very young), towards the end of my first decade of life (a long time ago), I used to think of 'Sunday' drivers as just... slow drivers. That was the appreciation then in the days of an awareness deficit. Deficit is possibly the wrong word. It suggests that once 'plenty' has been reduced. Something taken away.

  • Like freedom
  • Like responsibility

A breakaway from society's standards. I have always been considered a 'bit of a rebel' (isn't that just demonstrating an attitude of challenge? - DA). Questioning something you disagree with is very healthy. Mentally refreshing. Being in control of your own destiny and not being directed by others. I am not alone. Millions, maybe billions (hopefully), think like me. It would be called subversion in a lesser 'free' society than UQ (aka UK) Ltd.

For now anyway.
